About Dr. Rousseau

I’m Dr. Trisha Rousseau, a New York State licensed psychologist based out of Long Island, New York. If you’ve made it to this page, chances are you are trying to decide if I am a good “fit” for you and your therapy goals. Above all else, the best indicator of effective therapy is when the client feels supported and understood by the therapist. My office is a place that is free of judgment and a place for my clients to be heard.

My training and experience have focused on working with adolescence, college-age adults, and adults, in multiple settings including high schools, college mental health, and outpatient settings. Over the course of my career, I have helped my clients navigate changes in life, including transitioning to college, preparing and entering the working world, divorce, entering parenthood, and many other life transitions. I work with my clients to explore the thoughts and feelings surrounding these events, as well as helping them in developing healthy coping skills to overcome challenging emotions. I believe an essential element in maintaining mental health is movement and time outdoors. Therefore, this is one of the first steps that I take with clients in developing healthy coping skills.

Please feel free to contact me for a free fifteen-minute consultation to discuss your goals before booking your first appointment.
